Employee Spotlight: Susan

October 26, 2015

Motivation Excellence

Each month we will be highlighting one of our amazing employees. We’ll ask them some work-related questions and also some not-so-work-related questions – hopefully, you’ll be able to see why we think we’ve got the best people around.

Today, our spotlight is on Susan Rizzi, our Customer Service Representative.

Employee-Spotlight-SusanHow long have you been working at Motivation Excellence?
12 years total.

Has your role changed over the years you’ve been here? If so, how?
I have had the opportunity to work with amazing people in the company that have helped me develop my role as Customer Service Rep Extraordinaire!

What do you enjoy most about working at MEI?
The team atmosphere. There is a camaraderie here that other companies don’t have.

If you could switch your job with anyone else in the company, whose job would you want?
Every position here has its challenges and rewards; I believe I am in the position that most suits my personality.

What is your proudest moment working at MEI?
There are so many moments that to just pick out one would be difficult. The fact that we come together as a team and support so many charities is high on my list. Also the fact that we far surpass other companies in our dedication and support of our clients is something to be very proud of.

If Hollywood made a movie about your life, who would you like to see cast as you?
Meryl Streep – she has played so many roles of individuals facing huge obstacles who overcome them with style and grace.

Do you have a motto or personal mantra?
Don’t sweat the small stuff, it will all work out in the end!

What is an ability you wish you had?
I wish I were able to make people realize that our lives are not measured by the amount of material possessions they have, but by what they possess in their hearts, how they live their lives, and how they treat others! (sounds like a Miss America contestant answer, right?)

Have any hobbies or regular family activities outside of work?
My hobbies are antiquing, gardening, cooking and fishing. Family fishing trips are a great way to make memories with the grandchildren.

People would be surprised if they knew:
That I have a passion for writing – fact and fictional stories.

If you were to write a self-help book, what would the topic be?
Stop stressing, start enjoying each day to the fullest. How not to miss out on what life has to offer. Sometimes the most wonderful things in life are right in front of us, but we are too busy looking for more.
